Our evening was made even better by the musical sounds of Pasadena McKinley School’s “McKinley Rock Stars”  We love this group of kids who are supported by a wonderful organization called “Little Kids Rock”.  With a little help from their friends, these youngsters are learning how to play guitar, drums and keyboard!  Thanks Mr. Rojas and Rock Stars for spreading the beat to Altadena!

Recap: Fancy Food Truck Fridays Returns To Webster’s

It’s always exciting to watch the trucks roll in at Webster’s Parking Lot on Fancy Food Truck Fridays. Each showy truck claims their spot for the evening and then heat up their grills. Folks from around the neighborhood are lured in by the wafts of savory aromas that fill the air. It’s going to be another great night!

May was a foodie fest month that brought out local news channel ABC7’s Eye On LA. They were tracking Grill ‘Em All food truck for a special report on their show. It was exciting to witness them interview the popular truck right on Webster’s Lot!

Penelope the Pig was a big hit with all. She was surrounded by her buddies (2 sheep), and curious bystanders who wanted to meet with her. Even the reporter from the news station was curious about Penelope.
The food was fantastic with offerings that ranged from American grilling to Italian fare to Japanese specialties and Hawaiian treats. Unlike the wet weather in April, this month indulged in an evening with perfect springtime sunshine and a cool breeze to taper off the beaming rays. Many strolled into Webster’s Community Pharmacy for their last minute Mother’s Day Shopping and to enter our exclusive gift basket drawing.

Overall, it was a fun evening filled with friends and family. We can’t wait to do it all over again in June! Follow our Facebook page to keep up to date with all the latest news from our pharmacy and events like this one. Join us on June 8 for another fabulous evening at Fancy Food Truck Fridays!

Fancy Food Truck Fridays Welcomes Danny’s Farm

Bring your family this week to learn more about our sponsor and visit with friendly farm animals. As always, we will have great eats and plenty of seating. We look forward to seeing you there!

Paco at Fancy Food Truck Friday Recap

Under a warm and humid evening many of our neighbors in Altadena gathered to welcome Brave Paco during Webster’s Fancy Food Truck Friday on August 12. He was greeted with an applause followed by curious giggles from the crowds of people waiting to place their orders from the caravan of food trucks. Children were not the only ones eager to take their photo with the little pooch and to receive his “paw-tograph”.

It was such a joy to see the community of Altadena gather to spend time with each other over a meal. Each month Webster’s hosts a variety of food trucks that every palate could enjoy. Very appropriately for the month of August, A Rockin Ice joined us on that evening serving up melon sized Hawaiian shaved ice. It was the perfect treat for such a warm evening. We also had a few other new trucks that rolled into Webster’s Parking lot; Indian Jones Chow Truck added just the right amount of spice to the event while Grill Em All heated things up with their juicy burgers, and Gringo Tacos Truck were the first to run out of their irresistible dishes. The ever popular Shrimp Pimp and Hungry Nomad were back again serving up their best to the hungry crowd.

Many of our neighbors brought their furry friends with them for the first time. Perhaps to meet Brave Paco? They weren’t the only ones interested in meeting the pint sized hero, Fox11 news was there too to get the scoop! With all this attention it was pleasing to see that Brave Paco has kept his humble nature. T-shirts were sold to help support his fellow canines in rescue shelters. His handler Erik Knight happily shared information about the lovable pooch, the horrifying robbery, and the need to support local dog rescues. Overall it was another great community event with a special guest.

It was a full house, but Webster's was ready with plenty of seating.

We hope you will join us for dinner next month!

Webster’s Fancy Food Truck Friday welcomes special guest Paco the Chihuahua!

More than likely you’ve heard of Altadena’s local hero, Brave Paco the crime fighting Chihuahua. A few weeks ago he jumped into action protecting Ace Smoke Shop from two armed robbers nipping relentlessly at their heels all the way out to the street. Since then he’s been patrolling the neighborhood keeping Lake Avenue safe!

Paco and his owner Erik Night will be Webster’s honorary guests on August 12 for Fancy Food Truck Friday. Come on out to take your photo with Paco, shake his paw, and receive his pawtograph from 6pm to 7pm. Erik will also have commemorative T-shirts available for sale! Proceeds will benefit local dog rescues.

This month the caravan of gourmet food trucks will be ready and poised for a different type of action- flipping spatulas and serving the best in food truck cuisine. Bring your family and meet your neighbors while you feast comfortably under the blue sky. You don’t have to sit on the ground or eat on foot, we’ll have plenty of tables and chairs for all to share!

Featuring:  Grill ’em All – Winner of the Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race!!
